I'm pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe it. I'm so grateful that it worked on my first try and that I now have everything I've ever wanted. I know I still have 8 more months, but having this baby growing inside me is already the most magical experience of my life and I am enjoying every second.
I'm writing this on June 20, 2026, 4 weeks and 6 days pregnant, in my guest bedroom, which will soon be the nursery. I recently realized how comfortable this bed is, but also love that there's a window at the head of the bed, unlike my master bedroom. And it's fun to hang out in the future nursery as I find myself looking around the room, staring, planning, and dreaming. So, I've been sleeping in here lately. Today I took three naps. I've never been so tired in my life. My body is working HARD for this little one. <3
I found out I was pregnant on June 11, and it was the happiest moment of my life.
I woke up at 4:30 AM that morning and immediately went to the bathroom to test. It was six days post-transfer, but, technically, still day five because my transfer was at 4 PM on June 5. I had been testing multiple times a day since June 9 and my disappointment with the negatives was progressing. I know you're not "supposed" to test too early for that exact reason, but I couldn't help it.
I took two strip tests and one stick test all at once, like I always do. I flipped them upside-down, told Alexa to set a timer for 5 minutes, and went back to bed.
When the timer went off, I rushed back into the bathroom and flipped over the stick test first. Stark white. Yet another wave of disappointment hit me. Hopelessly, I flipped over the strip tests. And there it was. The faintest lines in the history of pregnancy tests. So faint that I wasn't completely sure if it was the evaporation line, a hallucination, or a very early positive. My heart was racing. I tried to stifle my excitement a bit, though, in case this wasn't real, but I couldn't stop smiling. Tears pricked at my eyes and I wondered if this was really happening.
(Picture below; saturation and contrast increased.)

I took a couple more strip tests and they all looked the same, but I still wasn't convinced.
Surprisingly, I fell back asleep. Later that morning, at 9:30 AM, I tested again. This time, the lines were only slightly darker than earlier that morning, and I think I was still a little bit scared that I was hallucinating, so I took several more tests LOL. I cried with joy, and I'm actually crying again now as I write this and think about what an exciting moment this was, as I was having a harder time denying that this was actually real.

After coming home from a work lunch that day, I tested for the third time that day, with two stick tests and two strip test LOL.
And this time, that second pink line, yet still very faint, was undeniably there. I was not hallucinating, I was not dreaming, I was not imaginging it, it was not an evaporation line. It was a positive pregnancy test. "It's positive," I said as I cried. "I'm pregnant."
